Liz Guida is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Delaware Hyperbarics, where she combines decades of experience in holistic health, movement, coaching, and patient care to help individuals restore their health and vitality. Throughout her career, Liz has been driven by one guiding purpose: finding innovative, evidence-based ways to help people heal and reclaim their lives.
In 2021, Liz partnered with Steve Caldwell to establish Delaware Hyperbarics, bringing hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the Sussex County community. Since then, she has been instrumental in helping patients discover the restorative benefits of hyperbaric medicine. Whether supporting athletes striving for peak performance, individuals recovering from surgery, patients managing chronic illnesses, or those seeking improved overall wellness, Liz is dedicated to helping each person return to balance and achieve their fullest potential.
Liz’s holistic approach integrates her diverse background as a licensed massage therapist, health and wellness coach, endurance athlete, educator, artist, and movement specialist. She believes that true healing addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and she is passionate about empowering patients through education, encouragement, and personalized care.
Before co-founding Delaware Hyperbarics, Liz served as Assistant Director of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center Annex, where she developed therapeutic art programs for terminally ill children and cancer patients. She has also devoted many years to coaching young athletes, serving as an assistant coach for the Sussex Academy Cross Country Team, Beacon Middle School Track Team, and Seashore Striders Cross Country Team.
Liz earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts in 1992 and graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2000. In 2021, she earned her Chamber Operator and Intermediate Hyperbaric Technician certification through the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM). Continuing her lifelong commitment to learning, she completed Georgetown University’s Health and Wellness Coaching Certification in 2024.
