Why Choose Delaware Hyperbarics?
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Delaware Hyperbarics. The owners, Liz and Steve are outstanding. They go above and beyond to make me feel better for my shoulder pain. If anyone is looking for myofascial release, Liz and Steve are fantastic. You won’t be disappointed! 😊Amanda Donaway2025-02-06 Delaware Hyperbarics helped me tremendously with my concussion symptoms. After the first session my anxiety was pretty much gone and I was able to have a full nights sleep. One of the most incredible parts to having HBOT was it bringing back my sense of taste and smell that had been compromised due to long covid. Liz and Steve and the entire staff are extremely knowledgeable and the energy of the whole place is truly healing. Thanks for helping heal our community!!Crystal Stokowski2025-02-01 I had an issue but the owner fixed it. Thanks! I can tell a positive difference in my health.Blaise Baca2024-12-17 Five stars all around. Hyperbaric chamber and staff are great.khainline12024-11-27 This was a great experience! I was a bit hesitant at first as I was concerned about being in a capsule. The therapist could not have been nicer. She explained the process so I knew what to expect and made sure I was comfortable! The capsule actually enabled two of us to fit comfortably! We had pillows and were able to sit up or lay down. We were able to communicate with the therapist and she checked in us. There were windows too and we were able to vary the amount of light inside the capsule. I came out very relaxed! The environment was clean and they have a great staff! I would recommend giving it a try!T N2024-07-25 I had exacerbated an injury while at work and was forced to limp for several days. A friend recommended me to Delaware Hyperbarics to see if it could help with recovery, so I decided to give it a try. In addition to a very clean and vibrant atmosphere, along with a friendly staff, I was extremely pleased with my experience. I woke up the next day almost fully recovered and had the best sleep of my life. Highly recommended!Charles Roth2024-06-03 Clean and cozy rooms. Inviting foyer. Wonderful & knowledgeable staff. Yes, HBOT is a well-researched and FDA-approved therapy that has been used for decades in hospitals and medical centers worldwide. When administered by trained professionals, it is generally safe and well-tolerated.
- Common, mild side effects may include ear pressure (similar to flying in an airplane) and temporary fatigue after a session.
- Rare side effects may include temporary vision changes or mild sinus discomfort.
- Our team ensures a safe and monitored experience for every patient.
If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting with our specialists before beginning treatment.
Each HBOT session is designed to be a relaxing and comfortable experience.
- Step 1: Getting Ready – You’ll be guided into a comfortable hyperbaric chamber, where you can lie back, relax, and breathe pure oxygen.
- Step 2: Pressurization – The chamber slowly increases in pressure (similar to flying in a plane). You may feel a slight pressure in your ears, which can be relieved by swallowing or yawning.
- Step 3: Treatment Time – Sessions last 60-90 minutes, during which you can listen to music, meditate, nap, watch tv or simply relax.
- Step 4: Decompression – The chamber pressure slowly returns to normal, and you’ll be ready to continue your day.

The number of HBOT sessions depends on your condition, health goals, and response to treatment.
- For acute conditions (e.g., carbon monoxide poisoning, decompression sickness): Patients may only need a few sessions, while others need more.
- For chronic conditions (e.g., non-healing wounds, radiation injury, autoimmune disorders): 20-40 sessions may be recommended for optimal benefits, but more sessions may be necessary depending on the condition.
- For wellness & recovery (e.g., post-surgical healing, athletic recovery, anti-aging): A personalized treatment plan can be designed to fit your needs.
